Are you really as amazing as you say you are?

Are you going to deliver what you promise in your website blurb?

Are your services worth the money you're charging?

That trust cannot be built in one day. It's a gradual process.

Offering something free to your potential clients is a great way to build that trust.

This is how the majority of apps make their money. The basic version is free. You try it. You like it. You use the basic version for a while until you need more features. You upgrade.

When you give away something for free:

  1. Your potential clients get to see the quality of your services. (So you'd better make sure it's of good quality and high value!)
  2. They get a taste of what it's like to work with you.
  3. If they like your free stuff, they'll tell others about it. There's no better marketing than that!
  4. When they're ready to buy, they'll think of you.

It's that simple. And powerful.

Don't worry about those that just take your free stuff and never come back. They are either not a good fit for your business (at least not yet) or they are the kind of people who just like to get freebies and never take action.

Concentrate on those who are struggling with an aspect in their lives / businesses and can really benefit from your free gift. Help them solve a problem. Provide value. Be of service to those who truly need you.

Giving away something for free can be done in any business.

If you are in any type of consulting business - offer a free mini consultation.
If you make pizzas, offer a free slice.
